    Extreme Plugs™ - 1000pk - The Best Wood Plugs for Ipe Decking

    When installing ipe decking with face screws, the best way to achieve a flawless look is to use wood plugs to fill in the screw hole. Because no two screw holes are ever alike, the Ipe Clip® Co. created the Extreme Plugs™.

    The major benefit that these hardwood deck plugs have are the precision cut Tolerance Absorbing Rings. These tapered rings will fill the void in screw holes that weren't drilled perfectly round.

    Installing Extreme Plugs™
    1. Drill a 1/8” hole for the screw
    2. Drill a 3/8” hole for the plug
    3. Drive the screw through the 1/8” hole fastening the boards together
    4. Put a small amount of glue into the hole
    5. Hammer in the plug leaving a small amount of the plug above the surface of the board
    6. Allow the glue to dry, sand the plug flush with the surface using 80 grit sandpaper
